James Bond
How good does the new Bond film look?!
We get the DBS back, sadly it's just not as cool as it used to be. But James undoubtedly is!

Re: James Bond
not a continental obviously, n the big bentley is quick enough, it's just claustrophobic, as long as its got room its quicker than any car that size has a right to be

Re: James Bond
Do we really have to carry that "British" stigma? I mean, his suits have been Italian for years, his watch Swiss, etc etc

Re: James Bond
New bond film...
As action movies go, it's not bad, but I don't think it's up to the standard of previous bond films.
The camera shots are very close up and fast moving in action shots, much to conform with the american film industries idea of modern action movies, and it lacks some of the style of previous bond films.
The storyline is disjointed and not the easiest to follow, it comes across as more of a political dig at a few groups of people at times. As for the ending it's rather abrupt.
PAG are still evidently providing most of the transport for the film, with the exception of a few alfa's at the beginning.

The 'british' cars in the films haven't been owned by the brits for years...

Re: James Bond
well the current best truly british alternatives are the jetstream, a radical, or an ultima, they aren't exactly bond cars, perfect for a track day tho..... so the Aston is the closest they can get having a british heritage. the ariel atom wouldn't look too out of place as a gadget though.

Didn't see many Volvos...
Seeing as AM have now been sold with the exception of a minority stake, and the Land Rovers, as you should know, are Tata.
The film tie-in is owned by Ford, of which PAG is only a subsidiary. Consequently, you will probably have spotted the new Ka cameo in there, which was never PAG.

Re: James Bond
I spotted a couple...you obviously weren'y watching closely!
LR still belonged to Ford when the movie was being filmed.
And I was referring to PAG as the Ford group as a whole, admittedly within the structural formation of the company it does come under Ford.
Then again you are probably just trying to prove me wrong and make yourself look clever .
